First thing’s first…. I had fresh ramps and fiddleheads… and didn’t know what to do with them. So what do I do? Tired and cranky I needed to whip something up quick and delicious….

Crisp Pan-fried Chicken thighs with Ramps…

I crisp up the skin and then add some white wine and the ramps… no extra things except for salt&pepper

Grilled Corn with Spicy Cayenne Butter

Grilled the corn on our stovetop grill adn then melted butter with cayenne pepper onto it.

Fiddlehead Ferns

Steamed and then sprinkled with EVOO, Lemon, Paprika, Red Chili Flakes, Truffle Salt, Black Pepper

Some people have been asking me other ways to prepare…..Now a simpler way to make Fiddlehead Ferns would just to simply sautee it with some butter and garlic :]

All with a glass of my favorite Malbec

Then around midnight I had a huge craving for cocokies… so cookies were made…..

Cookie Base —
2 1/4 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c unsalted butter
2 c brown sugar
2 large eggs

I made three different kinds of cookies….
A. oats with crushed toffee & poprocks dk chocolate
B. cayenne pepper & chili dk chocolate
C. cayenne pepper, chili dk chocolate & coconut flakes
